Finally Back Home

I was supposed to be home Friday night, but I was just too tired to drive, so I stayed at the hotel one more day/night and did nothing but sleep. Woke up to a little snow, maybe an inch, and once I got on the road, it got ugly. On an interstate that you can drive 75 on, I was lucky to go 50. On the positive side, it made my gas mileage go up to 40 mpg. So I get home, and brought my stuff in the hoouse, went out to get a pizza, then  mom and I had dinner, and back into bed I went. Have even had a nap already today !

I had everything I needed to take pictures of my cards -- except the cards ! Boy, did I feel stupid. I did get lots of goodies, which I will tell you about Tomorrow.

Trips take alot out of me, and I got another one of those lovely steroid shots in my hip. It's working very well, but as for my back, there are 4 vertebrae that are acting up, and I found out that one or more of my meds is causing me (along with me) to gain weight. Looks like a big conference to change things again to see if it works.

Bear with me, and I'll get this blog going again.

Thursday, just before breakfast - Oh, and I won again !

I made it to the hotel, even after the blizzard of the weekend. The highways were amazingly good. I headed straight to the hotel, ate the complimentary cookies and some decaf coffee. Usually I drink my coffee as strong as they can make it, but I've given up on caffeine after noon.
Today, I get to go for an orthopedic appt, probably shots in the knees and hips. They work wonders, but you can't overdo it right afterwards........or you do pay for it !!! Depending on how things go, I will get to do all my quick stops at the shops, and then late lunch, my nap, and a quick runthru of what's out there.
And I won again ! It was thru CraftCritique.com, and the did a review of Quick Snippers. Basically the Swiss army knife of decorative scissors...1 straight blade, and 5 fancy ones. I think it will be very handy to take to card class and make a quick edge so mine are a little different. (Please excuse me if I already posted this, not trying to make a big deal about it - I forget what I do and don't post sometimes) I should get it in the next week or so.
I'm very excited to go and pick up my Sew Easy heads. They do have gorgeous shades of threads, and they are about $3. I have tons of embroidery thread from my cross-stitching days, so I'll do some of that first. OKAY.....on to the posts....sorry I missed them yesterday.

Imaginisce - Berrylicious Hop on this one quick, I expect they will announce a winner tonight or tomorrow. They were having a release party, and today was the last day. Point to remember - release parties usually involve a give away. Go back to the other posts by looking down the left side for February posts, and comment on the others too ! Getting ready to go

Trip to the VA hospital for follow ups and probably shots in the hips and knees. I got my partial plate for my upper teeth last week, and am getting useed to those. I have several cavities, 3 of them pretty bad, that will be taken care of in the next six weeks Want to see pix of those ? LOLOL !

I dug my car out of the new foot of snow we got in our weekend blizzard, and we have a wonderful neighbor who has a snowblower and takes care of our front walks and driveway. Another neighbor in the back, takes care of the back driveway and the back walk. By now, the highways will be pretty clear, but I have to leave on Wed for my Thurs appt because it is at 9:40...NO way am I getting up that early and driving 125 miles. I will be in a town that has a Michael's, a Joanns, a Tuesday Morning, a Hobby Lobby, a TJ Maxx, and my favorite LSS - R Scrapbook store. Is there anything you want me to look at - to see if it is in stores yet - or if it is as pretty in real life as in the mags or online ?

I get to get the rest of the new heads for my Sew Easy - and I hear there are 6-8 new, larger heads coming out too. I'm also going to purchase the 7 Gypsies Binderie. They haven't been selling well at Hobby Lobby, and they were marked down to $23.99 a couple weeks ago. I think I have a pretty good chance of getting one. And then some more Tim Holtz bits and pieces, some more Black Magic Core'dinations, some springtime colored Bazzill papers, and a few other things that catch my eye. Full report on Saturday.

Now it's time for a quick nap before supper, then pack to leave in the morning. Two nights in a hotel.....I just love hotels for some reason. I'm sure my cats will snub me when I get back.

Really lzy poster today

No energy today - none at all. Fell asleep at the desk last night, sitting up in my chair, for SIX hours !!! At least I didn't go face first into the laptop as I have done before. Had fun at CTMH card class today, but there's not a speck of light coming in the windows, so will rig up a light tonight. Promise !!

Friday Night - a BUNCH of stuff being given away

If I counted right, there are 14 giveaways in this post. First of all, I am going to apologize because it is entirely possible that I may have duplicated something from earlier. I usually note the time when I finish my last post and go from there, but I think FB is a little funky with what is getting posted where. That being said, which style of posting do you prefer ? The "there's a pony in there somewhere" - where I give you a number or a letter that takes you where you need to go, or this "style" in this post, where I give you the names of who has the giveaway, with some of them having explanations behind them?

Another thing I am contemplating is adding a tab with all the sites I follow, with a link to their FB page and to their blog, so you can check the spots yourselves, OR do you prefer that I hunt things down for you, OR a combination of both ?

Want more hits/visitors to your Blog ?

I've been running this for awhile now, but I thought I should share it with you. When I first started out running my blog, I searched for a way to draw more visitors to the site.

Obviously, you need to be providing information relevant to your readers, and it should be unique in some way. Then, you want to draw people in from the search engines - say, when someone does a search, you want your results to appear as close to the first page of search results as you can.

http://pingomatic.com/ can update the search engines (19 of them). Just go to their site, fill out their info, then bookmark it to your favorites bar. Then, every time you update your page, go to Pingomatic, click the button, and it will send out a ping and update the search engines for you !

A couple of these may have been posted before. I do that because it may be an ongoing contest, which I will usually tell you, or it's a site's desire to raise their fan base. I repost because some people may not read all of the posts. I'd be very happy if you passed this little blog on to your crafty friends, and ask them to join us via Google Friend Connect. I have stated in the past that once I get 25 people via Friend Connect, I will offer blog candy. I also have it on pretty good authority, that once my readership reaches 100, I will have an outside sponsor donate a prize. I can guarantee it will be a fun one !! Okay, so in keeping with my earlier post, I am going to post links, and you get to find the prize. There may or may not be more than 1 prize connected to a link. Please keep another couple things in mind...most giveaways and contests are one entry only. And for the most part, they are open to everyone--everywhere. If they aren't they will normally state that.
