Origami. I was somewhat limited in the variety of things I could do, but it always put a smile on their face. I found this gorgeous heart Origami Heart on Extreme Cards and Papercrafting and thought I'd share it. I might even try it !

It's late and I started messing around with the bloggggg, and I really am not quite so literate with Blogger, so if I do something that makes it look or act funny, I'll fix it. I'm going to do my best to get some interesting pictures up on this thing before the weekend is over.

And another follower...thanks Mary for coming to see me. Went to a CTMH workshop last night and had a blast ! Workshop is once a month and we have coffee and cards on Saturday mornings. Love the friends I'm making.

Yesterday was cold, gray, and windy, windy, windy ! Woke up this morning to the first snow of the season. It won't last, but it is trying very hard to be winter today !

Got one swap to finish and several more to start, pllus personal cards to get done. Would love to get some Halloweenie cards out to family....I suppose if Christmas cards can be late, it's okay to be tardy for Oct 31. And my brother's card will be late, his birthday is tomorrow, but he didn't send me a card, so I don't feel bad.

Time for more coffee and a peek at the paper.

Woo Hoo !

Notified last week that I won The Proper Gentleman from Graphic 45,(I wish it had been a real man...LOL) along with Bazzill samples. The man in the brown pants came today with my goodies. The pad comes with 20 double sided papers, plus 1 sheet each of coordinating die cuts (1 is borders, the other is tags and shapes), AND the bazzill samples were not just samples, they were 11 12 x 12 sheets ! Really great papers, and the ones I don't like that well have a great reverse side. Still can't believe I won it.

In Crafting Heaven

In Sioux Falls again today, it's the closest place to buy real craft supplies : Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Joanns, Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx, R Scrapbook Store, Staples and OfficeMax. I'll try to post pictures of my haul when I get home. I have 2 - 50% off Martha Stewart coupons and a regular 40% off anything for Michael's. HL only has the 30% off stained glass - not my thing, but I'll stop by there today and see what they have.

On the way here yesterday, I stopped at 2 Scrappin Ladies in Mitchell. They have a good selection for a small store, and a marvelous clearance section for 75% off. Kioshi and Green at Heart were 50% off, alot of other things at 30% off. I have to be very selective about what I buy, the budget is tight, so nearly everything I buy is on sale or with a coupon.

I'm also "shopping" in my own supplies at home. I have been reorganizing things and finding cool stuff I don't even remember buying ! Does that ever happen to you ?

Well, time to check out of the hotel soon, shop, and then a dr appt at 3, then on the way home to the cats, and Mom and her dog. Dog will act like I've been gone for a month, the cats will ignore me.

Finally Friday !

And I should be working on swaps right now, but I really want a nap, but I should be organizing my supplies, and I should be.....well, you know how it goes....the nap will come first ! I'm really starting to get hooked on swaps, I am currently in 6 of them. I like to get a basket and pull all the stamps and paper related to what I'm doing, and then go from there. Theoretically, then I put all the stuff back when I am done.

I really need to beef up this blog and post some pictures and make it interesting, so that thousands of you will follow me and I can offer some blog candy. I just found out there is a CTMH rep in town, and there are some gatherings coming up, so I'll get out of the house and have someone to talk to besides the cats.

Hibernation

Well, did everyone get their clocks turned forward? Spring will surely arrive here on the Prairie, sure as the ice jams under the bridges bring flooding. My hometown actually has had travel restrictions due to water over the roads already !

Please be patient with me, I'm sure to figure this blogging stuff out one of these days. I'm usually quite busy looking at everyone else's !
